Divaker Yadav is a dedicated researcher currently pursuing a Doctorate of Philosophy in Zoology at Samrat Prithviraj Chouhan Government College, Ajmer. His doctoral research focuses on “The impact of developmental activities on the avifauna of selected habitats of central Rajasthan and the development of conservation strategies”, reflecting his deep commitment to avian biodiversity and habitat conservation.
With a strong academic foundation, Divaker holds a Master's degree in Zoology with a specialization in Molecular Development Biology and a Master of Library and Information Science, along with a B.Ed. in Science. He has also completed specialized programs including a Diploma in Basics of Ornithology and a Certificate Course in Birding, both from the Department of Environmental Science, MDS University, Ajmer.
His professional experience includes working as an intern with the Department of Forest, Government of Rajasthan, where he contributed to studies on the Central Asian Flyways for birds. He also served as a member of the Wildlife Crime Control Bureau (India) from August 2015 to August 2016, underlining his engagement with wildlife protection.
Divaker possesses expertise in wildlife and biodiversity assessment, with robust knowledge of taxonomy, species identification (including morphology and bioacoustics-based methods), and conservation protocols, particularly related to higher vertebrates. His active participation in biodiversity events complements his strong communication and research skills.
An accomplished researcher, Divaker has co-authored numerous publications in national and international journals, primarily focusing on ornithology, herpetofauna, and biodiversity conservation. His works include studies on the Brown Crake, Western Reef Egret, butterflies, and various bird species across the Aravalli foothills and the Andaman & Nicobar Islands. He has also contributed chapters in books such as "Butterflies of Central Aravalli Foothills, Rajasthan" and "Avian Diversity of Kishore Sagar Wetland, Kota, Rajasthan".
His scholarly contributions have earned him several accolades, including the Best Paper Presentation Award at an international conference on environment and human health, 2nd position in Young Scientist Award, and 1st prizes in bird photography competitions.
